24 Hours of Big Bear i didnt race this year but my dad did. he did a two man team with evan. But i did end up doing two laps hahah it wasnt to bad. my dad and evan ended up in first and my cuz robbie and mike shults got second. It was a really close race.

Getting going

Getting back out is nice. The past few days have been about 45 degrees. So its not to bad. Sunday I did a nice ride alone, Monday Sam and I did a nice ride in Butlar, and today I pulled the unicycle out and ripped it up with joe.

Unicycling

Off season

The off season has been pretty nice. i havent been doing alot of riding, but i did a few group rides witch are nice for a change. Racing coming back in, in a few months so ill be gettin my train on soon. Not to much riding and alot of chillin. Try it its nice.

Moraine

It started out a fast start with Jerry leading, When we hit the single track i was about fith. After we started into the rocks i started settling down an started picking people off. Sam was leading and i caught him a little after the first climb and we rode together for a while and i was able to get away with a nice lead. I ended up with a first, and my dad came in about a minute after in second. In the overall points in the series Sam got first, I got away with a second and Justin got third.

Grove City cyclocross

Doing a cyclocross on a mountain bike is not a good idea. The race started out on a long road prologe. I hung for the first lap but the pase that was set from the start was way to fast for me to keep up on a mountain bike. On the second lap i went to jump over a barrier and jammed the front wheel into it. My chain got all balled up and broke. I had another link so i was able to fix it. By the time i fixed it i was super far behind the front pack and had no chance. Ill be happy to never do another cyclocross on a mountain bike.

Bradys Run

The first race in a long time i wasn't sick for and i felt really good. The race started as most do with an extremely fast start. Justin led for about 2 miles and only Rob, Sam and I could hang. We dropped the whole pack within 5 min of the race. Justin led in till making a mistake on a road crossing letting Sam, Rob and i in the front. After we took off Rob led an Sam and i basically used him for drafting on a fire road before a big climb. At the top of the climb i saw rob was struggling and decided to make a move into the lead. Sam followed as i expected him to. Sam and I put down a super fast pace and then Sam made a few mistakes giving me time to put a gap on him. I ended up placing first, Sam a minute back in second, an Rob came in about 20 seconds behind Sam. Next week is grove city. should be a hammer fest
